“For a long time it had seemed to me that life was about to begin — real life. But there was always some obstacle in the way, something to be got through first, some unfinished business, time still to be served, a debt to be paid. Then life would begin. At last is dawned on me that these obstacles were my life.”
~ Fr. Alfred D’Souza

A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects.

i hope to someday have a beautiful long shelf covered wall in my living room
and a huge chair and a end table that is big enough to sit with my husband and just love life and read from a book together
i want the world to spin around me while im standing still. i want to be swept off my feet. i want someone to miss me when i go. i want to be loved like in the movies. i want to have my disney princess ending. i want the sun to shine through my kisses.

this was at the gas station today and it made my smile.
